HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Nittany Valley, PA is a 70 bed acute rehabilitation hospital located in Pleasant Gap near State College in central Pennsylvania. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and The Pennsylvania Department of Health. We hold 3 specialized disease specific accreditations from The Joint Commission for our Heart Failure, Brain Injury and Stroke programs. We plan to pursue a 4th disease specific accreditation in Parkinsons disease in 2012. In 2010, we ranked third in our company in clinical quality indicators such as patient satisfaction, discharge to the community and patient outcomes.
Also, we received a 2011 Top Performer Award from Uniform Data Systems in recognition of outstanding rehabilitation program performance. This means we performed in the top decile of UDSmrs program evaluation model for nearly 800 facilities. Speech Language Pathologists are a key spoke in the rehab team of SLP, OT, PT, Nursing and Medical staff.
