Question by Amber: Slipped disk???
I have a friend who tried to lift something heavy and lifted with her back instead of her knees. She went to the E.R. and they said she had a slipped disk. She is 47 years old. She told me it doesn’t hurt that much and she’s on Tylenol. How long before she’s up to doing things or feeling better. She says she feels better and stuff but still.

she needs to get an MRI as soon as possible.A slipped disk is a serious condition. My personal experence is this …i slippd a disk when i was 14 in an accident and didnt find out about it until recently i am 27 now.I develped severe low back pain and didnt know why an MRI revealed my worst fears i had a slipped disk for 13 years !Back injuries can remain hidden until they cause severe pain and back problems. She may not be in that much pain but she could have an injury that could come back to haunt her later. An MRI may seem drastic but it may save her many problems in the long run .So she may fell better in say 2 weeks but be a walking around with a hidden injury better to be safe than sorry and get the ongoing care now and not later goodluck
